Environmental tourism
Low impact settlement
In 2011 we have been asked to develop a project for a high end Hotel Resort to be operated by Viceroy Hotels next to Iguazu falls in Argentina. The Architectural project was developed together with a multidisciplinary team and environmental engineering consultancy firm,  with the target of being as close as possible to be carbon neutral. The whole project was conceived around the idea of preserving the natural environment and enriching the experience of the jungle to the visitors, having the lowest presence and
impact possible.
Construction methods where designed according to local communities traditional solutions.  The resort achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating against the BREEAM sustainability assessment method, with a 92% score. This would be the highest design-stage score ever achieved by any major turistic resort.
